MADELINE

Madeline Stuart is 23 years old, a successful model and has the Down syndrome. She has over one million fans on her social media accounts and has participated in over a hundred fashion shows. I followed Madeline Stuart and her mother Rosanne during the New York Fashion Week in September last year. What does Madeline stand for? Does she see herself as an activist for diversity and inclusion like others do? How does it feel to live in a world where fewer and fewer people with Down syndrome are born? The story was published in Süddeutsche Zeitung Magazin.
